Sleep and Regeneration

Dr Sara McNeillis is a specialist in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders and has experience in managing sleep apnoea, restless leg syndrome, parasomnia, narcolepsy and insomnia.
She graduated from Kings College School of Medicine and Dentistry after which, she completed her speciality training in Anaesthesia in North Central School of Anaesthesia, gaining expertise in managing adults and paediatric cases. During her training, she took up a keen interest in managing sleep disorders and has been working in the field of sleep for over 10 years. She has a Masters in Sleep Medicine from the University of Sydney.
She is a Consultant in Sleep medicine and Anaesthesia at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in UCLH. Her experience in anaesthesia gives her a unique perspective on sleep disordered breathing, she is an advocate of evaluating the upper airway to assess and tailor the treatments for this condition.
She is also an Honorary clinical lecturer at the University College London where she is involved in research into patients with sleep disorders. She has an interest in the effects of sleep disorders on the function of the upper airway including nasal congestion and the treatments for these.
She is currently involved in research in the effects of sleep on andrological conditions (erectile dysfunction and priapism).
